Can a kitchen faucet with deck mounted spray be converter into one without?

Kitchen faucets with a deck mounted spray can be converted into a kitchen faucet without spray by capping the hose outlet tube. For years of trouble free use, the diverter should also be removed.

Can a deck mounted spray be installed with a kitchen faucet that was purchased without one?

A deck mounted spray can only be installed with a kitchen faucet when the faucet comes with one in the packaging. Any kitchen faucet that does not come with a deck spray can not be modified for simple reason that the faucet body is not designed to handle it.
